Receiving BTC & USDT Payments

You can receive BTC or USDT payments from 3rd parties, or your own wallet.

Basics of Deposits

⚠️ Ensure that the currency and network for the transaction is correct before sending. Transactions cannot be reversed. Sending the incorrect currency or sending from the incorrect network can result in funds being irrecoverably lost.

For each currency and network, you can copy the address or download the QR code.

Example of a BTC on-chain wallet address (and QR code version of the address)

Bitcoin (BTC)

Select the BTC tab. Under Network drop-down, you can select between On-chain or Lightning

Bitcoin on-chain

View your account's Bitcoin on-chain address.

⚠️ Only Bitcoin (BTC) transactions can be received at this address.

Lightning

After selecting the Network as Lightning, you can choose to pay via Lightning Invoice or Lightning Address, as follows:

Lightning Address

By default, your Lightning Address is displayed, when selecting Lightning. This is a static address that can receive Lightning Network payments in any amount and from any sender. You would use this Lightning Address QR code in the same way as most QR payment methods (so it can also be downloaded and printed, for physical stores).

You can also share your Lightning Address in a human-readable format (example: [email protected]) which can be paid to by most Lightning-enable wallets.

Lightning Invoice

A Lightning Invoice allows you to set a specific amount of BTC to be paid by a particular sender, which creates a one-time QR code which can be sent to the specific payer, who can pay using any Lightning-enabled wallet.

To create a Lightning Invoice, click "Set Amount (sats)" and enter the amount of satoshis (sats) that should be paid

ℹ️ Note: satoshis is convenient way to denominate BTC in fractions:

1 Bitcoin = 100,000,000 sats

Example: 100 sats = 0.00000100 BTC

After the invoice is created, a one-time QR code will be created, which can be shared with the intended payer. Once the invoice has been paid, or 5 minutes has passed, the invoice will be expired and cannot be used for payment.

If an invoice expires, or is paid, you can simply click Generate new Invoice.

ℹ️ Note: previous unpaid Lightning invoices can remain in effect until expiring, even if you generate new invoices. You can view the history and details of Lightning invoices generated (that are paid, pending, or expired) in the Transactions (navigate from dashboard side-menu > Transactions.

USDT

In addition to receiving BTC payments, you can receive Tether (USDT) via Tron or Ethereum Network.

Navigate from the Dashboard side-menu: Deposits > select USDT tab.

Choose the Network you want to receive from:

  • TRC-20 (Tron)

  • ERC-20 (Ethereum)

The USDT wallet address for that network will be displayed. For details regarding how your addresses work, read more: Basics of Deposits

Note: the minimum deposit is 10 USDT
