Contacts

To streamline payments, we provide a contacts feature. You can save both Neutron Wallet user and external contacts, making it easier to send funds repeatedly

1. What is the Contacts feature?

The Contacts feature allows you to:

• Search and add other Neutron Walletusers

• Save recipient details

• Manage payout destinations

• Send funds quickly without re-entering information

Contact Status Icons

1. Incoming Friend Request Someone has sent you a request. Waiting for your approval.

2. Outgoing Friend Request (Pending) You sent a request. Waiting for the other user to accept.

3. Internal Neutron User Neutron Wallet user. You can send funds directly within the app.

4. External User Not a Neutron Wallet user. Transfers require external destinations (e.g., On-chain, LNURL).

2. How do I search for a contact?

Go to Contacts → use the search bar at the top labeled “Search contacts or username”.

3. How do I add a new contact?

1. Search for the username

2. Tap on the profile

3. Tap Request Friend

Once accepted, the user will appear in your Contacts list.

After opening a contact profile, tap Send to initiate a transfer.

You can send funds directly without manually entering wallet details.

4. What is Contact Detail?

Inside Contact Detail, you can view:

• Username

• Email (if available)

• Phone number

• Country

• Saved payout destinations

You can also:

• Edit contact information

• Add new destinations

5. What is “Destination”?

A Destination is a saved payout method linked to a contact.

For example:

• On-chain BTC address

• LNURL (Lightning address)

• Fiat destination (bank/mobile/interac)

• USDT Address (ERC20/TRC20)

Saving a destination allows faster future transfers.

How do I add a new destination?

Go to Contact Detail → tap Add New Destination.

The available destination types depend on the selected wallet on the main screen.

If BTC Wallet is selected

You will see:

• On-chain

• LNURL Address

• Fiat destination

If USDT Wallet is selected

You will only see the USDT crypto address form.

You need to enter:

• Alias Name

• USDT Address

Fiat destination is not available under the USDT wallet.

If Fiat Wallet is selected

The destination section will only include:

• On-chain

• LNURL Address

  

Fiat-specific options are not displayed in this case.

7. Is it required to add someone as a friend before sending?

You may not need to add them as a saved contact.

However, adding a contact makes repeat transfers faster and more convenient.
