Send from local currency wallet

This feature allows you to pay a Lightning invoice using your local currency balance. Neutron Wallet automatically converts your local currency into Bitcoin (sats)

1. How do I send Bitcoin using my local currency balance?

Step 1: Open your Local Currency wallet

From the main screen, select your local currency wallet

Step 2: Tap Send

You will see the payment input screen.

Step 3: Enter payment details

You can:

• Paste a Lightning invoice

• Paste a Lightning/on-chain address

• Tap Scan QR

• Select from Contacts

Then tap Continue.

2. Enter the Amount

On the Amount Input screen, you will see:

• Send: Amount in local currency

• Receive: Amount in sats

• Rate: Current BTC exchange rate

The system automatically converts your local currency to Bitcoin based on the live rate.

You may:

• Enter the local currency amount manually

• Or adjust until the sats amount matches your invoice

Then tap Next.

Important:

• Exchange rates are real-time and may fluctuate.

• Always verify the final receive amount before proceeding.

3. Review the Confirmation Screen

Before completing the transaction, you will see:

• Total amount deducted in local currency

• Payment method (Lightning/on-chain)

• Amount in sats

• Network fee

• Transaction ID

Example shown:

• Send via Lightning

• Amount in sats: 100 sats

• Local currency deducted includes conversion + fee

  

Carefully review all details.

The confirmation screen has a 5-minute expiration timer. If it expires, you must request a new invoice.

4. Confirm the Payment

Tap Confirm to complete the transaction.

Once confirmed:

• Your local currency is converted to Bitcoin

• If sent via Lightning, the payment is typically completed within a few seconds

• If sent on-chain, the transaction may take around 10–60 minutes depending on Bitcoin network congestion

Lightning transactions cannot be reversed. On-chain transactions also cannot be reversed once confirmed on the blockchain.
