Deposit (Local Currency)

1. Which countries are currently supported for deposits?

At the moment, Neutron Wallet only supports local currency deposits for users in Canada.

  • Supported currency: CAD (Canadian Dollar)

  • Supported method: Interac e-Transfer (Request for Money)

Support for additional countries and local currencies will be rolled out gradually. Note: You must complete identity verification (KYC) before you can deposit funds into your Neutron Wallet.

KYC is required to:

  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

  • Prevent fraud and misuse

  • Ensure the safety of your account and funds

If your KYC is incomplete or pending, the deposit feature will not be available.


2. How do I deposit CAD into my Neutron Wallet?

You can deposit CAD using Interac Request for Money by following these steps:

  1. Open Wallet and select CAD

  2. Tap BankDeposit

  3. Enter the amount you want to deposit

  4. Tap Next to generate an Interac request

  5. Open the Interac link in your browser

  6. Select your bank and complete the payment

Once completed, the funds will be credited to your CAD wallet.


3. Are there any deposit fees?

  • Deposit fee: 0 CAD

  • Neutron Wallet does not charge any fees for Interac deposits

Note: In rare cases, your bank may apply its own fees according to its policies.


4. How long does it take for a deposit to be processed?

  • Most Interac deposits are processed almost instantly

  • In some cases, processing may take longer due to:

    • Bank verification

    • Temporary delays on the Interac network

If your deposit shows as Pending, please allow some time for it to complete.


5. How long is a deposit request valid?

Each Interac deposit request has an expiration time of 5 minutes.

  • If the request expires after 5 minutes, you will need to:

    • Return to the app

    • Create a new deposit request

No funds will be deducted unless you successfully complete and confirm the payment.


6. Why can’t users in Vietnam deposit local currency?

Local currency deposits for Vietnamese users are currently paused.

Reason:

  • This pause is necessary to comply with local legal and regulatory requirements

Neutron Wallet is actively working with partners to ensure full compliance before re-enabling this feature.


7. Will Neutron Wallet support deposits in other countries?

Yes. Neutron Wallet plans to expand local currency deposit support to additional countries, including Vietnam.

  • Rollout will happen in phases

  • Compliance and user safety remain the top priorities

Updates will be announced through the app and Neutron’s official channels.


8. What should I do if my deposit fails or I encounter an issue?

If you experience any issues while depositing:

  • Check:

    • Your internet connection

    • Your Interac-enabled bank account

    • Whether the request has expired

  • If the issue persists, contact Neutron Support and provide:

    • Deposit amount

    • Time of request

    • Transaction status
