Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Neutron Wallet account. When 2FA is enabled, you will be required to enter a 6-digit verification code from an authenticator app in addition to your password when logging in or performing sensitive actions.

Enable 2FA Using an Authenticator App

Step 1: Open Settings

  1. Open the Neutron Wallet app

  2. Select Settings

Step 2: Go to 2FA Settings

  1. In Settings, tap 2FA Settings

  2. Under Method, toggle Authenticator App on

Step 3: Set Up the Authenticator

You will see the Setup 2FA Authenticator screen.

You can choose one of the following methods:

  • Scan the QR code using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy

  • Or enter the setup key manually into your authenticator app

📌 Each Neutron Wallet account has a unique setup key. Do not reuse it elsewhere.

Step 4: Confirm the 6-Digit Code

  1. After adding Neutron Wallet to your authenticator app, a 6-digit code will appear (it refreshes every 30 seconds)

  2. Return to the Neutron Wallet app

  3. Enter the 6-digit code on the Confirm 2FA Authenticator screen

  4. Tap Confirm

Step 5: 2FA Enabled Successfully

Once completed:

  • Authenticator App will appear as enabled in your 2FA settings

  • You will receive a confirmation email from [email protected]envelope stating that 2FA has been enabled on your account

🎉 Your account is now protected with 2FA.

When will 2FA be required?

Depending on your Verification Strategy, 2FA may be required for:

  • Payouts, including withdrawals, sends, and internal transfers

You can review these settings in 2FA Settings at any time.

Important Notes

  • Never share your 2FA codes with anyone

  • Keep your authenticator app and device secure

  • If you plan to change phones, disable 2FA first and re-enable it on the new device

If you experience any issues enabling 2FA or cannot generate a verification code, please contact us via [email protected].
